Day 1 – Depart from the U.S. by way of Matamoros. Travel through the rich farmlands of Tamaulipas and on to San Fernando where we will stop for coffee. Then we’re on our way to Ciudad Victoria, the Capital of Tamaulipas, where we will stop for lunch. After lunch, we travel to San Luis Potosi where we will spend the night at the lovely Panorama Hotel.

Day 2 – Following breakfast at the hotel, we will have a short tour of San Luis Potosi before we are on to Guadalajara. Arriving in Guadalajara, we will enjoy the spring like climate, listed in National Geographic as having the second best climate in the world. While in Guadalajara we will be visiting the State Capital and Tapatio Plaza.

Day 3 – Breakfast will be your choice. Then we depart for the Mercado Libertad, the largest market in Mexico. This market has a tremendous variety of items by all types of artisans. After shopping we travel to the unique city of Tlaquepaque where we will have lunch. Then it’s on to Tonala for outstanding ceramics of all types, blown glass, and art. We will return to Guadalajara for the night.

Day 4 – Breakfast of your choice, then on to visit the Retirement Community of Lake Chapala, where many retired Americans live a life of luxury. We will tour the lake and have lunch in the picturesque town of Ajijic, then on to sample some tequila in the city of Tequila.

Day 5 – An early breakfast then on to San Miguel de Allende. This unique town is a historical monument of picturesque beauty. We will tour the cobblestone streets and shops featuring many different wares. Then it’s on to the large city of Matehuala, spending the night at the Las Palmas Hotel.

Day 6 – Early breakfast at the hotel and depart for the Rio Grande Valley. Lunch in lovely Saltillo, then traveling through Monterrey, we will cross at the Los Indios Bridge with many wonderful memories to share with our friends.
