Colonial Charm With Big City Excitement

Day 1 – At 6:00 a.m. we depart to one of the largest citrus areas in Mexico, stopping for lunch in Montemorelos. Enjoy your lunch (Dutch treat) and fill up with orange juice natural to the area. Now we are ready to continue on to Horsetail Falls, truly a treasure of the Sierra Madre. Shop at the largest artisan market. Then arrive at the main shopping district and the Micro Plaza, surrounded by gourmet restaurants and the cathedral. Evening is at you leisure.

Day 2 – A tour of the city, the third largest in Mexico, includes the Governor’s Palace, Gran Plaza, Neptune’s fountain, glass factory, brewery, jewelry shop and the historical museum-colonial charm missed with modern, robust excitement and the hustle of a big city.

Day 3 – After breakfast, we’ll check out and load up at 9:00 a.m. for the sights to see today. A visit to the residential area with its beautiful mansions and homes and Bishop’s Palace. Time for lunch and then back to the Rio Grande Valley, arriving late in the afternoon.
